Cupping therapy is the most excellent treatment method for cleansing toxic substances accumulated in capillaries, affecting and slowing blood circulation in arteries and veins.
What is Cupping Therapy: It is the most excellent辅助 treatment method for all kinds of blood-related disorders, primarily migraines, high blood pressure, diabetes, headaches, back and neck pain, rheumatism, inflammatory joint rheumatism, fibromyalgia, forgetfulness, attention deficit disorder, cerebral vascular occlusion, multiple sclerosis (MS), cardiovascular occlusion, fatty liver disease, kidney disorders, menstrual irregularities, hot flashes during menopause, irritability, and depression.
Cupping therapy, performed to increase subcutaneous blood circulation, relax muscles, and help remove toxins and carbon dioxide, is the process of drawing blood from any part of the body by creating a vacuum with cups or similar devices. Capillary vessels are filters where blood pools, constricts, and sticky substances get trapped. The accumulation of unhealthy blood in these capillaries causes discomfort, and these edemas are removed by incising the skin.
Blockages are cleared, preventing further accumulation. Micro-clots in the blood that occur during heart attacks or strokes are expelled from the body’s capillaries. Regular cupping therapy can minimize the risk of such serious illnesses or their consequences, and helps refresh the blood.
For someone who has never had cupping therapy before, starting with back, head, and knee cupping sessions every month, and then continuing with regular sessions three or four times a year, can be a preventative measure against many potential illnesses. Cupping therapy is one of the best treatments for strengthening the immune system.
There are approximately 40 cupping points on the body, and each point or group of points is used to treat a different disease. Cupping therapy has no side effects.
Does Cupping Therapy Leave Marks or Stains on the Skin?
One of the frequently asked questions is whether cupping therapy leaves marks. Properly performed cupping therapy does not leave marks because very superficial scratches are applied, not deep cuts. Therefore, no marks or stains remain on the body.
Is the Blood Removed During Cupping Therapy Impure Blood?
The blood removed during cupping therapy is not impure blood; its color is red. This is because red blood cells, which carry oxygen and circulate throughout the body, contain toxic substances when analyzed. They contain heavy metals, toxins, and chemicals that are harmful to the body.
What is the Purpose of Cupping Therapy?
Cupping therapy is a practice for maintaining a healthy body, which the Prophet Muhammad also practiced and recommended to his followers. It is also used in Chinese medicine and involves removing and separating toxins that accumulate at the junction points of our body’s communication systems. The goal is definitely not to cause bleeding, but to remove accumulated toxins. It’s performed at specific times of the month because the moon’s gravitational pull brings toxins closer to the body’s surface, making these times ideal.
Factors Affecting Success in Cupping Therapy
1- Pre-vacuuming:
Pre-vacuuming, applied during the cupping procedure, is a preparatory stage to make it easier to draw blood into the cup. Pre-vacuuming is the process of removing air from inside the cupping glass.
First, the cupping cup is placed on the area to be treated. Then, a pumping action is applied to the cup to remove the air inside. As a result of this process, the air inside the cup is removed, and the impure blood is collected in the area, completing the pre-vacuuming process. Pre-vacuuming helps draw blood into the cup faster and makes the cupping procedure easier and more comfortable.
However, pre-vacuuming should only be performed by a qualified healthcare professional. Otherwise, improper application can result in bruises or serious injuries to the skin. Therefore, it is important that the person performing the cupping therapy is a trained and experienced healthcare professional.
2- Incision Depth:
The depth of the incisions made during cupping therapy is crucial for the effectiveness and safety of the treatment.
Incisions are made on the skin surface during cupping therapy to allow for suction. The depth of these incisions can vary depending on the individual’s health condition and needs. Deeper incisions allow for more blood to be drawn, but they can also cause more pain and side effects; therefore, it is important that every step of the cupping therapy procedure is performed by a specialist.
Generally, incisions between 0.5 and 1.5 mm are made during cupping therapy. However, this depth can vary depending on the experience of the practitioner, the characteristics of the area to be treated, and the patient’s health condition. For example, incisions in the neck area may be shallower, while deeper incisions may be made in the back area.
Before cupping therapy, the appropriate incision depth should be determined by evaluating the person’s health condition and treatment goals. It is also crucial that the incisions are made under hygienic and sterile conditions.
3- Incision Length:
The incision length in cupping therapy can vary depending on the person’s body structure, skin thickness, and the characteristics of the area to be treated. The incision length should be appropriate, taking into account the density of blood vessels and the depth of subcutaneous tissues in the area to be treated. Furthermore, the correct incision length also affects the patient’s faster healing process. Therefore, it is very important that those performing cupping therapy are trained and experienced, and that they determine the correct incision length using appropriate techniques.
4- Correct Point Selection:
Identifying the correct point during cupping therapy is extremely important. If the correct point is not determined, cupping therapy may be ineffective or harmful.
To determine the correct point, it is first necessary to identify the patient’s illness or condition. Based on this, the appropriate areas of the body for cupping are determined. Then, the most suitable points in those areas are identified.
Factors such as the patient’s pulse, skin color, skin temperature, pain, and sensitivity are considered when determining the cupping point. In addition to these factors, acupuncture points used in traditional medicine methods can also be considered.
However, determining the correct point is a process that requires experience and should only be performed by experts. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to consult a qualified healthcare professional before undergoing cupping therapy.
