What is Intravenous Fluid (IVF) Used For, and Why is it Administered?
IVF is administered primarily to maintain the body’s fluid balance and prevent mineral deficiencies. It is particularly helpful in hospitalized patients, helping to quickly replenish fluids lost after intense exercise or excessive sweating in hot weather. In some cases, solutions with added vitamins and electrolytes are used to support the immune system. Fluid and mineral supplementation reduces fatigue, supports the balanced functioning of organs, and accelerates the healing process.
In addition, IVF may be administered to patients who cannot take fluids or medication orally, such as those who are unconscious, in intensive care, post-operative patients, or those with severe vomiting and diarrhea. IVF is vital for patients experiencing blood loss, shock, severe burns, and infections. Intravenous administration of medications such as antibiotics, chemotherapy, and painkillers, blood sugar regulation, and the rapid correction of acid-base and electrolyte imbalances are also performed via IVF.

Frequently Asked Questions
Botox helps reduce migraine pain by relaxing muscles and blocking nerve signals that cause pain.
Lip filler is a procedure that involves injecting dermal filler into the inner and outer parts of the lips to shape the lip structure or add volume. This aesthetic procedure uses hyaluronic acid, known for its ability to add volume to the skin. Hyaluronic acid, which repairs tissues and keeps the skin smooth, is compatible with lip tissue. This method, using hyaluronic acid, is considered the most natural-looking lip filler application among lip aesthetic methods.
Liquid Facelift is one of the most up-to-date non-surgical facelift procedures. Composed of poly L-lactic acid microparticles and hyaluronic acid, Liquid Facelift stimulates collagen production in the dermal layer, renewing damaged skin tissue and creating a more natural volume effect. Providing an effect somewhere between fillers and mesotherapy, Liquid Facelift, thanks to its PLA content, continues to stimulate collagen production in the body even after its initial effect wears off, thus maintaining the volumetric effect.
Mesotherapy is not recommended in the following cases:
Pregnant women
Breastfeeding mothers
Those with a history of stroke
Those with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus
Cancer patients
Those with blood clotting problems
Those at risk of allergic reactions to any of the medications used
Those with urticaria
Those with heart disease requiring multiple medications.
